Miniature painting is a cherished tradition in our family, passed down through generations. I learned this exquisite craft from my grandfather, who was a master painter. He created stunning paintings on the walls of palaces for kings and maharajas and worked as a government employee in the painting department.
Following in his footsteps, my father also embraced this art form and continued the family tradition. Now, my younger brother, Mahesh Prajapati, and my elder son, Pawan Prajapati, along with myself, are dedicated to keeping this heritage alive. Each of us contributes to preserving and promoting the rich legacy of Indian miniature painting.

about craft
Indian miniature painting is a distinguished and time-honored art form characterized by its intricate detail and vibrant colors. Created traditionally, these paintings utilize hand-made colors derived from natural sources such as mountain stones, flowers, leaves, and herbs. The colors, mixed with glue to enhance their durability and grip, contribute to the unique quality and longevity of these artworks.
The foundation of these paintings is typically handmade paper, and the brushes used are also crafted by hand. The process of creating a miniature painting involves several meticulous steps: sketching, detailing, colour filling, final touch.
