about craft
The Iron Craft of Dindori, practiced by the Agaria tribe of Madhya Pradesh, is a traditional form of Loha Shilp rooted in ancient metalworking knowledge. Artisans heat scrap iron in a traditional bhatti and shape it entirely by hand using hammers and anvils, without molds. Known for forms like the Laman Diya and figurative motifs, the craft reflects raw skill, tribal heritage, and enduring craftsmanship.
