Vekuvolu, learnt how to weave from her aunt when she was 18. Her passion for weaving has evolved into a small business enterprise, where she works with a team of 13 women weavers. Vekuvolu is a loin loom weaver and specialises in weaving soft home furnishings in cotton in both traditional colours and motifs as well as contemporary designs, made possible by the Naga loin loom.

Simple backstrap loom, allowing weavers, primarily women, to create detailed patterns and motifs that reflect Naga cultural heritage. The textiles often feature bold geometric designs, stripes, and symbolic motifs in bright colors, woven with natural fibers like cotton and wool. Each piece is unique, representing the weaver’s identity and tribal affiliation.
