Davalappa Satpute, trained local women in bulrush weaving, providing livelihoods and transforming challenges into opportunities.

Today, his daughter Sahana leads the enterprise, blending traditional techniques with modern designs. Supporting 15-20 women artisans from Laxmeshwar, Sahana Reed creates eco- friendly baskets, mats, and home decor. The initiative empowers women, sustains craftsmanship, and fosters community growth.
